For so many people, particularly Gen Z, the future is not looking very promising. I'm a "Boomer" and fault can definitely be found in my generation! Our political leaders have not been too reliable in their stewardship of our country and our future either; regardless of what political party. We continually look to these politicians to fix the problems, but if we are honest, they are the ones that took us to this point! If you have been "hoping" that the "other" political party is going to fix things then it makes sense why your future seems hopeless!
There are some Bible references below that you may think are not true, or just religious, or that you might be tempted to disregard from your thoughts but I ask you to consider them. What if they are really true? What if they can help you? What if they do offer hope to you?
I am going to offer you some encouragement from the Bible, which is God's Word. I am not going to try to "prove" the Bible is true to you here but I would take up any offer to show that the Bible can be argued as true through history, prophecy, accuracy and more!
Here are some Words from the Lord Jesus that offer us a promising and happy life and future!
Hope
"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" Titus 1:2
"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Titus 3:7
"For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." Romans 8:24-25
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13
Peace
"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord," 2 Peter 1:2
"Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all." 2 Thessalonians 3:16
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
When we are born again spiritually, we have "peace with God" "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" When we have peace with God, we have access to the "peace of God" in our everyday lives! ""And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7
Joy
"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy," Jude 1:24
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith," Galatians 5:22
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." John 15:11
Life can often seem discouraging, unfulfilling and even hopeless. You have tried other options. People, possessions, politicians will fail us. Jesus will not fail us! Will you give the Lord Jesus, through His Word, an opportunity to change your life?
